The Department of Community Development and Extension (DCDEx), formerly Department of Community Development Education (DCDE) of the College of Education, is now with the College of Agriculture and Food Science (CAFS). BOR Resolution no. 43, s 2014, formalized DCDEx' integration into CAFS on July 26, 2014.

The department offers the degree of BSDE major in Agricultural Extension. The degree aims to produce young skilled extension agents for local government units, non-government organizations and private firms. The department also offers service courses for other departments. DCDEx is manned by four regular faculty members and two administrative staff.
