Guardian, the joint team of the College of Agriculture and Food Science and the College of Nursing found its way back to the leaderboard, as they secured a top three finish in the system-wide VSU intramural games that took place on September 19- 22. This was a far cry from their disappointing last place finish during last year's Intramurals.
The Guardians gathered a total score of 296 points trailing closely behind former champions, VSU Isabel 'Cyberwarriors', who ended up in the second place with a score of 319 points.
The joint powerhouse team 'Centaurs', of the College of Engineering and the College of Veterinary Medicine emerged on top, with a total score of 377 points.
Ms. Trishia Jade Acilo of CAFS was crowned this year's Ms. VSU Intramurals, and will be preparing to compete as the University's representative for the SCUAA games, which will be held at VSU on December 10-15. Mr. Jhun Vincent Estologa, her partner, placed third, and was awarded the 'Malakas award' for scoring the highest in the Physical Test category.
This year's intramural games was participated in by VSU's four satellite campuses, VSU Isabel, VSU Alang- Alang, VSU Villaba, and VSU Tolosa, along with the Faculty and staff, and the VSU LHS .
